The trip starts with Masai Mara National Park, a large game reserve in Narok County in Kenya. The park is known for hosting the big five and features among the top game reserves in the world. Frequented by tourists this park is contiguous with the Serengeti National Park and this is where the wildebeest migration starts from.
After the exciting traditional African safari in the Mara, fly to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda and transfer to Volcanoes National park in the north of the country. Volcanoes National Park is the favorite for gorilla trekking in the world. The park is home to not only the mountain gorillas but also the endangered golden monkeys are resident in the park. You will enjoy a gorilla tour in the park. After, the gorilla trek, travel to Lake Kivu for a relaxing holiday at the shores of this inland lake.

Day 1: Transfer to Mara National Park
Pickup from Nairobi and transfer to Masai Nara National Park in Narok. After Lunch, go for an evening game drive in the park to catch up with the wildlife that enjoy their eveing bite. Stay at selected lodge in Masai Mara.
Day 2: Game Drives in the Mara
Early morning game drive in the Masai Mara National Park to catch up with the early risers. Lots of animals can be seen. Some of the animals to look out include elephants, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, leopards etc. Visit the Masai Village in the afternoon. Retire at the Lodge in Mara
Day 3: Game Drive
Morning game drive in the Masai Mara National Park. Travel to Nairobi. Fly to Kigali Airport.
Day 4: Travel to Musanze
Have a brief Kigali City Tour. Visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site, Caplaki Craft Center and Local Market. Have Lunch in Kigali. Transfer to Ruhengeri (Musanze) in northern Rwanda. This is the home to a third of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park & Visit Twin lakes
In the morning go for a gorilla trek in the Volcanoes National Park. In a group of eight tourists, hike into the gorilla sanctuary and look out for the gigantic apes in the bamboo forests.After the gorilla trek, return to the lodge. Visit the Twin Lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo as you enjoy the sunset in the mountains.
Day 6: Golden Monkey Tracking & Visit Local Communities
Go for golden monkeu tracking in the Volcanoes National Park. In the afternoon, experience the thrilling local community experience at the Gorilla Guardian Village formerly called Ibywacu Cultural Village.
Day 7: Transfer to Lake Kivu
Travel to Lake Kivu, an inland lake in the West of Rwanda. Surrounded by mountains, this is the ultimate destination for relaxation holidays. Lots of adventures await you . Go for an amazing Coffee to Cup experience. Also enjoy a boat ride along the lake.
Day 8: Transfer to Kigali
Relax at the shores. Travel back to Kigali. Drop off at the airport.
